Indulge yourself!  You and 5 other lucky people will board our Tiki Taxi at Harbor Point Docks for a 45 minute spin around the harbor while listening to our tropical soundtrack and enjoying whatever you bring to drink. 

 

Price includes a complimentary Hawaiian Lei as well as our cooler loaded with ice and cups for your favorite beverage (BYOB).  Your cruise will leave Harbor Point and work along the Stamford Harbor's shoreline where you will you see many amazing waterfront properties and yachts along the way.  So break out the Hawaiian shirt and tropical dress, climb aboard your own floating Tiki Lounge and say goodbye to reality!

Our charter program is designed to be very safe, personal and unique, making our Tiki Tours unlike any other attraction in the area, here are the details;

 

  • Program duration: 45 minutes including check-in.​

  • You will see skyscrapers, waterfront mansions, a few mega-yachts, sunsets (pending time of day) and of course, do some Donuts!

  • Guests must be able to understand basic instructions in English, board and disembark the vessel on your own and sign our waiver in order to safely participate.

  • Personal cameras, cell phones, and other small objects can be brought aboard. We suggest you leave unnecessary larger items in your vehicle.

Can I book/pay by credit card the same day?


You must book 24 hours in advance using the "BOOK NOW" button, call for same day availability.




How often does this ride go out?


Every hour as scheduled.




How far in advance should I book?


The months of June, July and August can be extremely busy. We recommend securing your tour as soon as you know which date you want. We are limited to 6 passengers and availability will be tight during these months so please keep this in mind when booking.




How safe is the boat?


The Tiki Taxi is very safe with guard railings, life jackets and all federally required safety gear aboard. As it oertains to Covid - Please follow CT Covid guidelines, if you feels sick, stay home. We sanitize all high touch surfaces between tours.




I’m not a strong swimmer.  Will I still be able to participate?


Yes! All of our guests are provided USCG approved lifejackets to wear while under way, and we often have complete non-swimmers enjoy our program. If you are uncomfortable on the water, even with the lifejacket, you should avoid this activity.




I’m physically challenged.  Will I still be able to participate?


Yes, but know that we board from a floating dock. You must be able to navigate up to a 45º incline for the ramp to our dock and be able to step up or down to board. If you use a wheelchair or walker, we do not recommend this activity for your safety.




What should I bring?


Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are recommended. Casual or dress attire with flat sole shoes, sandals or flip flops are appropriate. If its cool a light jacket, wind breaker, sweat shirt is a good idea.




Can we bring snacks and other drinks?


Yes, we provide a large cooler with ice and cups. You may bring snacks if you would like to but please note, we are not a catering facility and have limited space for food items and trash. Alcoholic and other beverages are allowed (BYOB) during the tour. Your Captain may limit the amount of alcohol brought aboard per person. No Kegs or Handles please.




What should I not bring?


We cannot accomodate pets of any kind. You are not permitted to board with any of the following; illegal drugs, fireworks, firearms or weapons. Smoking of any substance is prohibited. Your Captain will terminate the charter and alert marine police if there is suspicion of any illegal activity.




What happens in the event of bad weather?


Your safety is our primary concern, we will not go out in storms or dangerous conditions. In the event of bad weather, we will attempt reschedule you to a different day. If we are not able to reschedule during the same calendar year, all monies paid will be refunded (less booking fees).




How many people can go on the tour at any one time?


We can accomodate up to 6 passengers total per trip following USCG regulations.




Is there a restroom aboard?


No. We strongly reccomend you use a shore facillity in advance.




What is your cancellation policy?


Cancellations with a 72 hour advance notice will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after the 72 hour window is non-refundable unless Capt. John has to cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, this includes arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, arriving late, forgetting your ID, no shows, personal emergencies or personal mishaps. If Capt. John has to cancel the reservation due to inclement weather or any other reason, you may reschedule or receive a refund. Weather cancellations are determined only by Capt. John. Weather must be inclement at our location at your specific scheduled time. No exceptions. Thank you for understanding our policy.




I have a medical condition, should I be concerned?


If you have any medical conditions that you are concerned with you should consult your Physician for his or her professional advice. Captain John's Tiki Tours will not be responsible for any injury or illness caused by your participation or voyage our vessels.




How old should I be to participate?


While we do not restrict by age, we DO NOT have accomodations for infants or toddlers. We reccomend children accompanied by a parent or legal guardian be 50lbs and up.
