Looking for a fun new way to enjoy your corporate outing this summer?  Come on down to the Stamford Harbor waterfront Mondays and Tuesdays from 11am- 3pm and take your team for a spin on the Tiki Boat!  This cozy floating Tiki Bar seats six passengers and departs every 30 minutes from the Crab Shell Restaurant private docks.  More than six in your group?  The huge outdoor bar and patio can comfortably handle fifty or more people as they listen to music, enjoy a refreshing cocktail and chow down on serious eats.  What a fun way to keep the group entertained, every 30 minutes the Tiki Boat will float right up to the Bar dock to drop off and pick up the next 6 passengers.  Everything will be right there for you to enjoy the day in sun with friends and colleagues, the Tiki Boat Tour is only $25 per person.  So break out the Hawaiian shirt and tropical dress, climb aboard your own floating Tiki Lounge and say goodbye to reality!  You must call Captain John in advance to reserve this for your group at 203-614-9268.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book/pay by credit card the same day of the tour?

No, Team Tiki events must be booked well in advance. We recomend you call at least 2 weeks prior as we will need to arrange for dockage and room at the Crab Shell Restaurant. Your bar/food tab will be with the Crab Shell restaurant.

How long are the Team Tiki tours?

Team Tiki Taxi Tours last approximately 30 minutes depending on the number of people in your group. However, we can customize the duration for any event.

How many days a week are the Team Tiki tours available?

Our Team Tiki tours are available Mon - Wednesday 11AM - 3PM (weather permitting) call Capt. John at 203-614-9268 to check our availability.

How far ahead should we book?

The months of June, July and August can be extremely busy. We recommend securing your tour as soon as you know which date you will be in the area.

How safe is the Tiki Taxi?

The Tiki Taxi is completely overbuilt for safety, there are seats for every passenger as well as a safety railing. The Tiki Taki operates at 4 MPH or less. As it pertains to Covid - Please follow CT Covid guidelines, if you feels sick, stay home. We sanitize all high touch surfaces between tours.

We are not all strong swimmers. Can we still participate?

Yes! All of our guests are provided USCG approved lifejackets to wear while under way, and we often have complete non-swimmers enjoy our program. If you are uncomfortable on the water, even with the lifejacket, you should avoid this activity

I’m physically challenged. Will I still be able to participate?

Yes, but know that our Tiki Taxi is a boat that is boarded from a floating dock. You must be able to navigate up to a 45º incline for the ramp to our dock and be able to step up or down to board. If you use a wheelchair or walker, we do not recommend this activity for your safety.

What should I bring?

Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are recommended. Beach attire with water shoes, sandals or flip flops are appropriate. If its cool a light jacket, wind breaker, sweat shirt or rain jacket is a good idea.

Can we bring snacks and other drinks?

Yes, we provide a large cooler with ice and cups. You may bring a prepared meal, snacks and other food if you would like to. Alcoholic and other beverages are allowed (BYOB) during the tour. Your Captain may limit the amount of alcohol brought aboard per person. NO Handles please.

What should I not bring?

We cannot accomodate pets of any kind. You are not permitted to board our Tiki Taxi with any of the following; illegal drugs, fireworks, firearms or weapons. Smoking of any substance is prohibited. Your guide will terminate a tour and alert marine police if there is suspicion of any illegal activity.

What happens in the event of bad weather?

Your safety is our primary concern, we will not go out in storms or dangerous conditions. In the event of bad weather, we will attempt reschedule you to a different day. If we are not able to reschedule during the same calendar year, all monies paid will be refunded (less booking fees).

How many people can go on the tour at any one time?

We can accomodate up to 6 passengers total per trip.

Is there a restroom aboard?

No, we strongly suggest you use the facilities at the Crab Shell before the trip begins.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations with a 72 hour advance notice will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after the 72 hour window is non-refundable unless Capt. John has to cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, this includes arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, arriving late, forgetting your ID, no shows, personal emergencies or personal mishaps. If Capt. John has to cancel the reservation due to inclement weather or any other reason, you may reschedule or receive a refund. Weather cancellations are determined only by Capt. John. Weather must be inclement at our location at your specific scheduled time. No exceptions. Thank you for understanding our policy.

I have a medical condition, should I be concerned?

If you have any medical conditions that you are concerned with you should consult your Physician for his or her professional advice. Captain John's Tiki Tours will not be responsible for any injury or illness caused by your participation aboard our vessels.

Can I bring my children?

We DO NOT have acommodations for infants or toddlers. For safety, we reccomend children accompanied by a parent or legal guardian be 50lbs and up. The railings are semi open and would be easy for a small child to get through.
